The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has announced that energy innovators will receive a £24m cash boost to develop new technologies that will increase energy efficiency in the UK. 37 British companies will receive £19m as part of the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund including small and medium sized enterprises and start-ups. A new £5m competition launching in summer 2023 also aims to help industrial businesses work together to develop decarbonisation plans.
