The Bill incorporates all the essential provisions of the previous Agricultural Bill 2017–2019 while adding several measures. There is notably a requirement for Ministers to consider the sustainability of the environment when encouraging the production of food in England. It also includes a requirement to report on food security every five years. The closing date for submission is 10 March 2020.
