Pre-action disclosure definition

What does Pre-action disclosure mean?

An order for disclosure of documents or inspection of property before a claim has been made.

Such orders are made under the Senior Courts Act 1981, s 33 or County Courts Act 1984, s 52. Like all interim orders, the relevant procedure is governed by CPR Rule 25 and, in particular, 25.5.
