"A lot of the work that I do is historic-the maximum sentences change at different points of time. It's really complicated and people get it wrong all the time. That's when having a timeline is really useful."

GET ACCESS NOWA Multi-disciplinary practice is a type of business which combines legal services with others such as accountancy or estate agency.
To provide legal services which include reserved legal activities (such as probate and litigation and advocacy) and non legal services within the one entity, the business will need to be licensed as an alternative business structure (ABS). In the near future (from the end of 2011) it is anticipated that the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) will be able to license ABSs. Although the CLC and SRA will license the entity, they will only regulate the legal services. These will need to be ring fenced for the purposes of ensuring, for example, that advice which is subject to legal professional privilege is clearly identifiable and that client money relating to the legal services is paid into a separate client account.
Speed up all aspects of your legal work with tools that help you to work faster and smarter. Win cases, close deals and grow your business–all whilst saving time and reducing risk.
