What does Impact board meeting mean?

A meeting of the directors ahead of an announcement of a transaction, eg IPO, rights issue etc. It will usually be held the evening before impact day. The purpose of the meeting is to approve making the transaction, the prospectus/admission document, pricing and all other matters relevant to the completion of the transaction as necessary.
