Added years definition

What does Added years mean?

Where a member of a defined benefit scheme is credited with additional years of pensionable service.

For example, perhaps as a result of:

• a transfer payment received from another scheme;

• an AVC payment; or

• an augmentation made either by the trustees or the employer on behalf of the member.
