Cabinet Office Statement: Principles of Good Employment Practice (2010)

Editorial Note: This Statement of Principles of Good Employment Practice is the replacement for the Code of practice on Workforce matters in Public Sector Employment Contracts, colloquially referred to as the 'Two-tier Code', which had been issued by the Cabinet Office in 2005, and was withdrawn with immediate effect on 13 December 2010 (but see below for guidance on transitional implications). It is separate from the Cabinet Office Statement of Practice on Staff Transfers in the Public Sector of January 2000 (at para [2901]), which addresses the requirement for central Government to apply the principles of TUPE in the contracting out of activities involving staff transfers from the public
