289. Categories of young person entitled to support after leaving care, accommodation or fostering.

The Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 describes six categories of young person who are entitled to support after leaving care, accommodation or fostering1.
A category 1 young person is a child2 who:

(1) is aged 16 or 173;
-
(2) is being looked after4 by a local authority in Wales5; and
-
(3) has been looked after by a local authority
