Pursuant to the Athens Convention as amended by the 2002 Protocol1, any claim for damages or arbitral proceedings arising out of the death of or personal injury to a passenger2 or for the loss of or damage to luggage3 is time-barred after a period of two years4, to be calculated as follows:
(1) in the case of personal injury, from the date of disembarkation of the passenger5;
(2) in the case of death occurring during carriage6, from the date when the passenger should have disembarked7;
