To ascertain the extent of the protection conferred by a cesser clause, the lien clause which may follow it1 embodying the remedy given to the shipowner as the corollary of the charterer's release must be read with it, and the two clauses must, if possible, be taken as co-extensive2. In the absence of words clearly showing such an intention no liability is removed by the cesser clause, unless it is re-created in someone else by the lien clause3
