An application for a regional Channel 3 licence1, in addition to being accompanied by the proposals required by the Broadcasting Act 1990 as to the areas in the United Kingdom for which the service is to be provided and the times or days for which it is to be provided2, must be accompanied by the applicant's proposals for participating in networking arrangements3. Ofcom4 may publish general guidance to applicants for regional Channel 3 licences as to the kinds of proposals for networking arrangements which it is likely to consider satisfactory5.
