95. Issue of television licences.

A licence that is required for the purposes of using a television receiver1 (a 'TV licence') may be issued by the British Broadcasting Corporation ('BBC')2 subject to such restrictions and conditions as it thinks fit; and it must be issued subject to such restrictions and conditions as the Secretary of State may require by a direction to the BBC3. The matters to which the restrictions and conditions subject to which a TV licence may be issued may relate include, in particular:
