An application filed with the court1 in hard-copy form must be accompanied by one copy and a number of additional copies equal to the number of persons who are to be served with the application2. When an application is filed, the court must fix a venue3 for it to be heard unless it considers it is not appropriate to do so, the rule under which the application is brought provides otherwise or the case is one that does not require notice4.
