479.     Criminal conduct.

A person subject to service law1, or a civilian subject to service discipline2, commits an offence if he does any act3 that is punishable by the law of England and Wales, or if done in England or Wales, would be so punishable4, and a person may be charged with such an offence5 even if he could on the same facts be charged with a different service offence6. A person guilty of such an offence7 is liable to any punishment authorised by statute if the corresponding offence under the law of England
