The National Crime Agency (NCA) has reported that 33-year-old Nzar Jabar Mohamad has been jailed for 10 years. In covertly obtained recordings by the NCA, Mohamad was heard telling criminal associates in Europe that he had brought over 100 women into the UK. He was arrested by NCA officers while in the process of arranging an attempt to smuggle up to 21 people across the channel on a small boat in November 2019. Mohamad admitted a charge of conspiring to facilitate illegal immigration at Hull Crown Court on 21 April 2021. He was subsequently sentenced to 10 years imprisonment on 8 October 2021.
