The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) has reported that a Fife man, Mark Campbell, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after a jury found him guilty of murdering his partner, Jane Fitzpatrick, in August 2021. At trial, six women also gave evidence of Campbell’s violence towards them, dating back to 2003, and he was convicted of 13 additional offences, including four counts of rape. Campbell’s life sentence was handed down at the High Court in Edinburgh, and he was ordered to serve a minimum of 27 years in jail.
