Self-investment definition

What does Self-investment mean?

This is where a scheme's assets are invested in connection with the employer's business.

n most cases, as a result of the Pensions Act 1995, s 40, up to a maximum of 5% of a scheme's assets can be invested in this way, although different rules apply to a small self-administered scheme.
