As a general principle a solicitor or firm of solicitors should not accept instructions to act for two or more clients in the same transaction where there is a conflict of interests, or a significant risk of a conflict of interests, between those clients, nor should a solicitor or firm of solicitors continue to act if a conflict of interests arises between those clients during the course of the transaction1. As there
