594. Competent jurisdiction and recognition of judgments.

Pursuant to the Athens Convention as amended by the 2002 Protocol1, an action arising thereunder2 must, at the option of the claimant, be brought before one of the courts listed below, provided that the court is located in a state party to the Convention3:


    (1)     the court of the state of permanent residence or principal place of business of the defendant4;
