A digital sound programme licence1 continues in force2 until it is surrendered by its holder3. A digital sound programme licence must include such conditions as appear to Ofcom4 to be appropriate for requiring the holder of the licence5:
(1) on entering into any agreement with the provider of a radio multiplex service6, of a television multiplex service7 or of a general multiplex service8 for the provision of a digital sound programme service9 to be broadcast10 by means of the multiplex service, to notify Ofcom11:
(a) of the identity of the multiplex service12;
(b) of the characteristics of the digital
