619. Reports, recommendations and referrals.

The Service Complaints Ombudsman must, after carrying out an investigation1, prepare a report setting out the Ombudsman's findings and any recommendations2. The report must include the Ombudsman's reasons for each of the findings and recommendations3 and the Ombudsman must send a copy of the report to the Defence Council4, the complainant5 and any other persons specified, or of a description specified, in regulations made by the Secretary of State6. The Ombudsman may send a copy of the report to any other persons the Ombudsman considers appropriate7. The Defence Council must:
