9 Requirements of the Bills of Sale Act (1878) Amendment Act 1882

The following are the principal requirements of the Bills of Sale Act (1878) Amendment Act 1882:

  1. 9.1

        Every bill of sale to which the Act applies must truly set forth the consideration for which it was given1. The consideration must be a sum not less than £30, otherwise the bill is void2.

  2. 9.2
