‘Electronic working’ is a misnomer. Under the Electronic Practice Direction 51O—The Electronic Working Pilot Scheme, what is involved is an electronic filing system whereby court documents prepared for filing in court are not themselves filed as before, that is to say by taking or sending them to the court office for the original to be sealed, filed and entered in the court records (with a sealed copy and any service copies returned).
