Coronavirus (COVID-19)—House of Commons Library publishes Research Briefing on WHO’s Covax

The House of Commons Library has published a Research Briefing on Covax, a scheme set up by the World Health Organization (WHO), Gavi, the Alliance for Medicine and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations. The scheme is designed to ensure fair access to Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines, particularly with regards to developing countries. The briefing explains how the Covax scheme works, the challenges associated with vaccination programmes in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and the contributions of advanced economies to Covax and the distribution of vaccines.
