Coronavirus (COVID-19)—HMCTS announces new Nightingale court opened in Taunton

The HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) has announced that a Nightingale court has opened in Taunton to assist with tackling the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the criminal justice system. The Taunton venue will host a magistrates’ and a Crown courtroom. The Courts Minister, Chris Philp, has said ‘This new Nightingale court will help to reduce delays and deliver speedier justice for victims in Taunton, and I’m grateful to Somerset County Council for providing the building.’
