Kyle Squire#4291

Kyle Squire

Within his family practice, Kyle focuses on children cases (with an emphasis on public children). He appears at all levels of the Family Court and in the Family Division of the High Court. He has a reputation for being knowledgeable and thorough in his preparation and presentation of cases. Kyle has experience of representing local authorities, parents and children in fact-findings, final hearings, on appeal and all stages in between (as sole counsel and led junior). In particular, Kyle is accomplished in cases involving:
  • allegations of sexual abuse;
  • allegations of non-accidental injury;
  • significant medical disclosure and conflicting medical opinions;
  • applications for deprivation of liberty under the inherent jurisdiction;
  • representation of a party with learning disabilities, including through the Official Solicitor;
  • young people involved in gang affiliation and 'county lines'.

Cases where there is overlap between the Family Court and the Court of Protection are of particular interest to Kyle, and where his experience of both jurisdictions can have a real impact.
