Kathryn Emmett

Knowledge Of Counsel, Norton Rose Fulbright

Kathryn is a senior knowledge lawyer in Norton Rose Fulbright's London energy team. She advises on both financing and regulatory aspects of energy projects, with particular experience in renewable energy projects, electricity networks and interconnectors.

She trained and qualified at Norton Rose Fulbright. She completed a Masters degree in Energy and worked in-house at a United Kingdom renewable energy generation company in a dual role as part of the legal and wind energy development teams.

Kathryn's experience includes advising lenders, sponsors and governments on international project financings. She has conducted due diligence in relation to energy project portfolio acquisitions and investment company listings.

Kathryn has experience of the feed-in tariff regime, the renewables obligation, investment contracts, contracts for difference, the renewable heat incentive and the capacity market in Great Britain. Kathryn also advises on electricity industry codes and regulatory reform affecting the GB power market, including energy storage assets.
