Dr. Hiba Allam

Dr Allam holds a PhD in Islamic Insurance law from the Sorbonne-Assas University in Paris, France. Dr Allam qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2006 and is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.

Dr Allam is currently based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and holds the position of General Counsel of FWU Takaful GmbH, a global leader in the life takaful industry. Dr Allam joined FWU after having practiced law at leading American law firms in London and the Middle East. Dr Allam advised clients on numerous Shari'a compliant insurance and re-insurance matters. Dr Allam has published a number of articles on Islamic Insurance and has been recognised as a leading lawyer in the Takaful and Re-Takaful Industry in the Islamic Finance News. She has contributed practice notes on takaful to LexisPSL Banking & Finance.
