André is a commercial lawyer with a focus on regulatory compliance, processes and investigations (including data protection, anti-bribery and corruption & modern slavery compliance). He has been working from London for well over six years. Prior to that he was Brussels-based for fourteen years where he worked in a multitude of EU areas (including competition, trade defence & environmental law). During that time he worked across Europe and beyond. Overall he has assisted and advised mainly European and US in-house counsel and compliance officers and other company personnel. He has done work for both the private and public sectors. During his Brussels-based time he also dealt with a variety of legal matters in the context of EU-funded projects building the expertise and capacity of government ministries and agencies in Central and Eastern Europe and further afield. He started out mainly doing criminal defence work in London (for three years, including pupillage).
