Diego Fernández

Diego is a technology expert with more than 15 years of experience with a wide range of expertise which includes privacy & data protection, privacy compliance, privacy in internal investigations and at the workplace, RegTech, Privacy & Intellectual Property in M&A transactions, software licensing, IT agreements and compliance, cyber security, and criminal law in connection with technology. 
 
Diego is a member of the Board of Directors of ITechLaw, Co-Chair of the IAPP’s Buenos Aires Chapter, President of the Privacy & M&A Committee of the Latin America Privacy Association (ALAP) and Editorial Board Member of the Global Privacy Law Review, among others.
 
Diego is a frequent speaker in international conferences on IT & Privacy issues. He also regularly contributes with global guides and surveys of his expertise. Furthermore, he is a professor and lectures on data protection law & IT at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and The John Marshal Law School (Chicago, United States) in its online global privacy course. 
 
Finally, Diego is listed by Chambers in TMT, in Who’s Who Legal Data 2018 and 2019, and is also the only Argentinian recognized as Thought Leader Data 2020 and Thought Leader Global Elite 2019 and 2020. He was also included by Global Data Review as a member of their 40-under-40 global ranking in 2018, among others.
