Suresh Patel
Suresh is a Knowledge Lawyer at Mishcon de Reya specialising in employment law. He is a contributing editor to Harvey on Industrial Relations and Employment Law; and has written for ELA Briefing and PLC Magazine. He also contributed to ELA's response to the 2024 Government Consultation on reintroducing employment tribunal fees, co-authoring the section on the impact of fees in the EAT.
Prior to that, Suresh was a fee-earning employment solicitor at Mishcon, advising on all aspects of employment law in contentious and non-contentious contexts. He has litigated in both the Employment Tribunal and High Court; and was recently mentioned in Legal 500 for his work in relation to Partnerships/LLPs. A particular career highlight was acting for Stella Creasy MP in relation to her negotiations with the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) over maternity leave for MPs. Suresh also volunteers with the Free Representation Unit.
