Neil Fawcett

Neil Fawcett was called to the Bar in 2006 at Lincoln's Inn. He practised in the fields of Commercial, Property and Banking/Financial Law from St Ives Chambers for a number of years and was appointed a Deputy District Judge hearing civil cases on the Midlands Circuit in 2015. Neil practised from St Philips Chambers between 2015 and 2016 and spent nearly three years sitting as a Deputy District Judge before returning to the Bar in 2019 at 3 Paper Buildings.

If a Landlord is served with a Section 26 Notice but does not object with a period of 2 months, does the Landlord lose its right to object completely? In addition, if the Landlord has agreed to an extension of the statutory period whilst negotiations regarding renewal of the lease are on-going, is the Landlord able to object to renewal of the Lease prior to the end of the statutory period?
