Alec Buchanan

Alec Buchanan is a Legal Assistant in White & Case's Capital Markets Practice in London, and a Future Trainee Solicitor with White & Case.

Alec's focus is supporting White & Case's EMEA capital markets team through the distribution of updates on developments in relevant law and market practice, in particular relating to the implementation of key pieces of European Union legislation. Alec's key sectors of focus are debt capital markets, emerging markets, financial regulation, structured finance and sustainable finance.

In particular, Alec is a core member of White & Case's Sustainable Finance team and has co-authored a number of publications on green bonds in a variety of industries and jurisdictions, green and sustainability-linked loans and sustainable structured finance.

Alec joined White & Case from a prestigious Australian law firm in Sydney where he was a member of the Banking & Finance team.
