Francis Walters

HFW
Francis joined HFW as a trainee in March 2018, qualifying in March 2020, in the contentious Insurance and Reinsurance team, for whom he worked on a variety of coverage disputes, subrogated claims and public law matters.  He then went on secondment to HFW's Piraeus office in Greece, where he gained experience in high value Admiralty disputes, as well as dry shipping arbitration and ship finance. His third seat saw him return to London to work in HFW's non-contentious Insurance and Reinsurance team, advising clients on the transactional and regulatory issues relating to their insurance business. He will complete his training contract in HFW's Geneva office, where he works on a variety of commodities and shipping disputes, ship sale and purchase, and trade finance matters.
