Introduction to technology transfer agreements in the Life Sciences industry
Practice notes

This Practice Note considers technology transfers in the life sciences industry and provides links to Precedents for agreements that are commonly used in life sciences technology transfers.

Patent assignment—pro-assignee

This Precedent is a patent assignment for the assignment of patents, patent applications and know-how drafted from the perspective of the assignee. It can be used to transfer specific identified patents and/or patent applications and defined know-how and/or material, including biological material deposited under the Budapest Treaty. The document includes a power of attorney and so must be executed as deed. This Precedent can also be used to form part of a wider intellectual property licence (IP licence). This Precedent was produced in partnership with Thomas Bjorn of Royds Withy King and David Hobson and Martin Maclean of Mathys & Squire.
