Claire specialises in contentious intellectual property matters, with a focus on trade marks and designs. In over a decade in private practice, at Simmons & Simmons and Marks & Clerk, she regularly advised clients in a variety of sectors in relation to trade mark and design infringement issues and customs detention strategy. She has experience of conducting litigation before the High Court and Court of Appeal, and also of undertaking alternative dispute resolution procedures including mediation and arbitration. On the non-contentious side, she has advised clients on co-existence and licensing matters. In her role as a Knowledge Lawyer at LexisNexis, she produces practical guidance, precedents, news coverage and other core materials for IP lawyers on trade marks and designs, at both UK and EU level, and on IP disputes.
