Caron Heyes

Caron Heyes is a senior associate in Fieldfisher's medical negligence team, based in their London office. She has 18 years' experience bringing claims for children and adults who have been left catastrophically injured as a result of medical negligence. She is a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Accreditation Panel and APIL. Chambers rates her as a Star Associate. Caron's cases include claims for birth injury, failings in treatment of neonate and children, fatal accident claims arising from errors in GP and surgical treatment and maternal deaths, and claims arising out of failings in fertility treatment. She advises on inquests and provides representation at the hearings. In the last 15 months Caron has recovered in excess of £39m for her clients by way of interim and final damages awards most recently obtaining a six-figure settlement for a woman who sustained a life-changing perineal injury at birth and £19.6 m for a child with an acquired brain injury caused by substandard treatment at the age of 5 months.
