Barry Fletcher

Barry is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales who specialises in international arbitration. He trained and practised at Jones Day before joining Pinsent Masons. Barry is Head of Arbitration and Head of the Dispute Resolution Group at LexisNexis®UK. In practice, Barry’s work included international commercial arbitrations pursuant to institutional and ad hoc arbitration rules involving UK and international clients. He also has a background in commercial litigation, including experience before the High Court. While in practice, Barry worked with a broad range of clients from the private and public sectors, often in the technology and telecommunications industries. At LexisNexis, Barry’s technical content work focuses on the law and practice of international commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration. Barry has a particular interest in challenges and appeals against arbitral awards under sections 67-69 of the Arbitration Act 1996. Barry is also engaged heavily with the strategic development and operational requirements of the Lexis®PSL Dispute Resolution Group and the wider LexisNexis Practice Area Group. Barry contributes to the LexisNexis Dispute Resolution Blog and New Law Journal on litigation and arbitration matters.
