Patrick Mitchell is a partner in Latham's London office and a member of the Entertainment, Sports & Media Industry Group. He works exclusively in the sports and entertainment space, advising a wide variety of corporates, investors, financiers, sports governing bodies, broadcasters, and other media companies on their premium commercial transactions. His notable experience includes advising the 1892 Holdings consortium led by Amit Bhatia (strategic minority investment into Liverpool FC), Manchester United (minority sale to Sir Jim Ratcliffe), the England & Wales Cricket Board (eight strategic franchise partnerships for The Hundred), Apollo Sports Capital (investment in Wrexham A.F.C.), Oakley Capital (investment in GB1 America’s Cup team), Tom Brady (launch of E1 Racing Team) Todd Boehly/Clearlake Capital consortium (acquisition of Chelsea FC), alongside numerous sports bodies, media companies and brands on some of their most important commercial deals and regulatory issues.
