Fiona Campbell is a practising solicitor qualified in Ireland (2009) and England and Wales (2010), and a former barrister at the Irish Bar (2005). She is a legal AI expert with more than two decades of experience spanning advocacy, private practice, consulting, eDiscovery, legal technology and innovation.
Fiona is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales AI Task Force and the PD57AD Working Party. She is also actively involved with ILTA, ACEDS and Women in eDiscovery, contributing to wider work on legal AI, eDisclosure / eDiscovery, professional standards and best practice. She drafted and chaired the ILTA GenAI Protocol in 2025 and won Relativity's AI Innovation Award that same year.
As Legal AI Innovation Lead at LexisNexis, Fiona leads the development of practical legal AI resources for the profession, including articles, know-how, guidance and checklists for barristers, solicitors and in-house legal teams. Drawing on her own experience in each of those settings, she works with clients, practitioners and product teams to support the practical and responsible adoption of AI and help shape legal AI solutions that respond to the profession’s needs.
She is a regular speaker and author on legal AI, the use of GenAI in legal proceedings, eDisclosure / eDiscovery, emerging regulation and professional and procedural developments. Her work focuses particularly on translating rapid technological and legal change into clear, practical guidance for the profession.
Before joining LexisNexis, Fiona was a Director in Fieldfisher’s Dispute Resolution team and Head of its Technology, Innovation and Digital Evidence practice. Her earlier career included roles at Squire Patton Boggs, Navigant, Epiq and Byrne Wallace Shields.
