Paul is a specialist construction and insurance lawyer based in London, whose practice is recognised in Lexology as a Future Leader: Construction.
Paul acts for both the construction industry and the insurance market, representing clients in complex and high-value disputes. His advice is directed to his clients’ commercial aims whilst alert to the technical issues at stake and the relationships that underlie those issues.
Paul acts for a wide range of insurers active within the UK Construction market as well as for construction professionals and contractors. Paul’s practice encompasses both coverage and defence as well as contractual matters.
Paul frequently represents insurer clients in technical, complex and high-value coverage disputes where analysis is key. He has advised clients on a range of well-publicised matters, including the Grenfell Tower disaster.
Paul’s defence practice has included defending contractors and consultants in High Court litigation, arbitration, adjudication and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Following the Grenfell Tower disaster, Paul provided the UK Government with guidance on its cladding remediation programme and aspects of the Building Safety Act 2022.
