Stuart Evans
Stuart has had a long career in local government and private law firms, and he was the interim City Solicitor at Birmingham City Council and was also the lead planning and environmental solicitor at Birmingham from 2000 to 2017.
In relation to his planning practice, he continues to work closely with a number of local authorities and other public organisations, faith groups and developer companies.
Stuart specialises in providing support to planning committees along with drafting of detailed highway and planning agreements and providing bespoke planning advice on numerous subject areas including regeneration projects and detailed affordable housing advice.
Stuart has pioneered the planning team at Anthony Collins and was made up to a Partner in 2024 and now leads a successful team dealing with planning, highways and environmental work.
Stuart is also actively involved in working closely with Counsel Chambers and other planning practitioners, particularly with a number of small private practice planning consultancies. Locally he has also set up the planning club for public sector planning lawyers within the West Midlands and is now looking to extend the influence of the club throughout England.
