Bella Webb

Barrister, Old Square Chambers
Bella Webb is a specialist in clinical negligence and medical regulatory work. She has a high-value clinical negligence practise working for both Claimants and Defendants, where her empathetic and compassionate approach allows vulnerable and often distressed clients to feel as at ease as possible and to have total confidence in her expertise. Whilst Bella undertakes work in all aspects of clinical negligence, she is known for her particular expertise in delayed cancer claims, an area in which she regularly provides training and is the author of one of few texts in this area - “A Practical Guide to Claims Arising from Delays in Diagnosing Cancer.”

Her disciplinary practice involves representing practitioners and professional bodies in professional conduct and capability proceedings before the GMC, HCPC, and NMC, and in respect of which her early background in employment law has proved valuable.

Bella is often praised by those instructing her for her robust approach to difficult cases, and her personable manner which helps to put anxious clients at ease.
She has a reputation for care, professionalism and detail, without sacrificing the “human” empathy inherent in every case and will fight tooth and nail for her clients.
She is credited in the Legal 500 (2025) as a “compelling advocate. She cross-examines experts into the ground and wins cases with skill.”

Chambers and Partners (2025) describe her as:
“first-choice for cancer cases with her understanding of the medical and legal territory, thorough analysis of expert medical evidence and empathetic client care.”
