Jessica qualified as a Manx advocate in June 2021 and joined Humphrey & Helfrich’s Dispute Resolution Team in June 2022.
 
Following completion of her university studies and prior to qualification, Jessica spent 2 years working within the offshore banking industry working closely with the in-house legal team.
 
Jessica’s main area of practice is dispute resolution assisting both individuals and corporate entities on a wide range of matters including land and property disputes, trust and estate disputes, liquor and event licensing and contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
 
Jessica’s recent successful judgments include the following:
 
·      First of its kind landmark decision in respect of an application to the Court under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2011) varying over 90 long leases in respect of a large apartment complex
 
·      Successfully defending proceedings in the Land Court representing a Farmer Tenant against the Landlord seeking possession under section 9 of the Agricultural Holdings Act 1969
