Melanie Ardiff is a Knowledge Lawyer specialising in dispute resolution and litigation. She brings together extensive experience as a practising litigation solicitor with a strong focus on legal knowledge, training and innovation.
 
In her current role at Philip Lee LLP, Melanie supports litigation teams across all levels by developing and maintaining precedents, practice notes and know-how materials, and by delivering practical, business focused training. She plays a key role in shaping the department’s knowledge strategy, including initiatives aimed at improving accessibility, consistency and knowledge sharing across teams.
 
Melanie provides research and advisory support on complex legal and procedural issues and has particular expertise in eDiscovery, having managed large-scale and high-risk document review exercises in practice and subsequently led firm‑wide updates to eDiscovery guidance and procurement processes.
 
She is actively involved in the firm’s work on generative AI, delivering AI literacy training for litigation lawyers and contributing to the evaluation and governance of legal technology tools. Melanie also contributes to client facing knowledge, legal updates and thought leadership.
 
Prior to becoming a Knowledge Lawyer, she acted for domestic and international clients in complex commercial litigation and insolvency matters.
