Frank Brumby is a leading specialist solicitor in restructuring and insolvency with over 25 years’ experience across both corporate and personal insolvency. He acts for lenders, insolvency practitioners, directors, partners and individuals, providing clear, commercial advice on all aspects of financial distress. His work spans pre-pack administrations, winding‑up petitions, bankruptcy, recovery actions and complex insolvency litigation.
 
Frank has been involved in significant insolvency litigation, including Minmar (929) Limited v Khalastchi & Others, a leading case on the validity of administrator appointments. He acts for major insolvency practices, recovery firms, banks and distressed corporates, and is recognised for a calm, pragmatic and solution‑driven approach: “My clients know that I’ll work with them to find a solution that works for them and their business.”
 
He passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board exams in 2000 and is authorised by the ICAEW as a non‑appointment‑taking Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. A former Chair of the Eastern Region of R3 – the Association of Business Recovery Professionals – he is based primarily in and heads up HCR Law’s Norwich office and also works closely with the firm’s London and Cambridge restructuring and insolvency teams, supporting clients regionally and nationally.
