Chloe Parish#14204

Chloe Parish

I began my legal career at Stephensons Solicitors in June 2015 as a vacation student, fresh from University. Having undertaken a training contract with the firm, I qualified into the Regulatory department in September 2019. Since this time, I have progressed to Partner. I specialise in childcare, education, health and social care regulation, and professional discipline. I am the head of our childcare, education, and children’s social care work, helping providers navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

I represent registered providers and managers in relation to proceedings before the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted), and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). I provide advice on compliance, challenging inspections, criminal investigations and prosecutions and enforcement action (including appeals before the First-Tier Tribunal).

I also represent a range of professionals facing fitness to practice proceedings before their professional regulators, such as the General Medical Council, General Dental Council, Nursing and Midwifery Council. Health and Care Professions Council, and the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Outside of my day-to-day legal work, I am heavily involved in delivering training to childcare providers and engaging in events across the childcare and children’s social care sectors. I have delivered in-house training to large and well-known nursery providers, I have presented and hosted events, and I have judged at the Children and Young People Awards.

Stephensons have a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, which I and the Regulatory team take an active part in. We love a challenge!
