Marcel A.G. Reurs
Marcel A.G. Reurs is an attorney specialising in immigration law with over 29 years of professional experience. His practice encompasses a comprehensive range of business immigration matters, advising multinational corporations and institutions on cross-border mobility and compliance under Dutch and EU immigration frameworks.
In addition to his legal practice, Marcel is actively engaged in the academic and doctrinal development of Dutch immigration law. He is the contributing co-editor of the leading commentary on the Dutch Immigration Act and serves as chief editor of Jurisprudence on Immigration Law, the principal series on Dutch immigration case law. Previously, he was editor-in-chief of the Journal on Dutch Immigration Law.
Marcel lectures frequently on immigration law and is a long-standing instructor and examiner for the Dutch National Bar Association’s professional education programme for trainee attorneys. He has also advised the Ministry of Justice as an expert contributor to the Modern Migration Policies reform initiative.
He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), as well as the Dutch specialist associations for immigration lawyers, SVMA and WRV, and an international associate of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Marcel is annually recognised in Who’s Who Legal: Corporate Immigration as a leading practitioner and has been designated a “Thought Leader” in recent editions.
