Dr. Robyn Trigg
Robyn is a Senior Knowledge Lawyer in Osborne Clarke's IP Disputes team.
Robyn focuses on the full range of IP rights and has a particular interest in the life sciences sector. She delivers regular internal and external training and writes articles for a range of academic and practitioner publications.
Robyn previously worked as an IP Litigation Associate at Allen & Overy LLP before leaving practice to undertake her doctorate at Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
During her time in practice, Robyn focused on cross-border patent disputes in the life sciences and TMC sectors. She also advised on various aspects of copyright and trade mark law, jurisdiction challenges, competition damages claims, and life sciences regulatory matters.
Robyn's academic research broadly assesses the limits of property law in England and Wales and considers the interrelationship between the concepts of property and personhood. Robyn was awarded the Leon E and Iris L Beghian Graduate Scholarship to undertake her doctoral research, which she completed in 2023.
Robyn has taught copyright law on the University of Oxford's prestigious Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) course. She was also part of the admissions team at St Catherine's College, University of Oxford in 2018, interviewing candidates for admission to the LLB programme.
Robyn was the first visiting researcher at the Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law and a visiting student at St Edmund's College, University of Cambridge in 2020.
Robyn joined Osborne Clarke in 2021.
