Ben Pearson
Ben is a Professional Support Lawyer specialising in energy law. He trained and qualified as a solicitor at Ashurst LLP, where he was an Associate in the Projects and Energy Transition team in London.
In this role, Ben advised on a variety of M&A, corporate, finance, project development, regulatory and contentious mandates for sponsors, developers and funders with a focus on renewable energy and decarbonisation projects. Alongside this work, much of Ben’s post-qualification experience involved advising The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) on the development of its first-of-a-kind carbon capture, usage and storage programme.
Ben brings this experience with him to assist with the development of new content and maintenance of existing content for the Energy module, ensuring our Practical Guidance remains accurate and topical for customers.
